The Sunflower Cafe

What other girl could be so lucky as to have an opportunity like this? My parents are making an investment into a family cafe, back in my hometown - Dothan, AL. This will most likely be a cafe like none Dothan residents have ever seen here. We are looking serve delicious healthy food, that is easy to pick up and take to work. We are considering gluten-free options, with a juice bar, smoothies, espresso drinks, breakfast crepes and omelets, and soups, wraps, and salads for lunch. We are looking to serve only organic meats, vegetables, and fruits, and only the highest quality dairy and grain products. The place we are going to renovate is quite small, so there won't really be any inside seating, just carry out. We are in the process of recipe development and tweaking right now.

But back to my opening thought...how lucky am I? I not only was able to take 4 years and study nutrition and health, but I now I have the opportunity to make it easy and fast for people who are looking to change their eating habits. It couldn't get much better than this! We are hoping to open up the doors in early May, and if it is a successful summer, I will most likely stay on and see it through, and if it continues to grow, we might open up into a larger place with a seating area. Who knows! Maybe we could clean with all-natural green products! That would be too exciting!

I'm really looking forward to this, and finding out what God's plans are for my life. I love nutrition, God has placed 'passion' in my heart. Now I am looking forward to seeing why he put it in me, and what he wants to do with it! I am not my own, I was bought with a price. Even if the whole thing flops, I'm still excited about seeing what is coming next. He's a creator God, and he is doing new thing, each and every day, all the day long.
