Probiotics

Antibiotics kill the good and the bad microorganisms in the body, but also in the digestive tract. So anyone who has ever been on antibiotics before, or who drinks or showers in chlorinated water- should be taking a large-count probiotic. I recommend Garden of Life's Primal Defense Ultra. I take it everyday, and it helps keep my eczema at bay, lessens the appearance of blemishes on my face, and keeps my digestive tract agreeable!

I understand that there are situations where antibiotics can be life-saving and necessary. We are blessed to have them so readily available in the U.S. But I feel like probiotics have gotten left out, and that undoing the damage to the digestive tract is not of enough concern to doctors and medical care workers. With EVERY antibiotic prescribed, I think there should be probiotics also prescribed after the duration of antibiotic, to re-establish the healthy flora in the digestive tract*.
