He delights in us as a bride, so how does a bride feel except treasured, cherished, and loved. I feel like a bride. And just as a wife would be wary of rapists, or cheaters, I am becoming wary of anything that will steal this away, or taint it, or distract me from it. It is sheer bliss. Of course Jesus is romantic!! God is the author and creator of romance. How much wonderment has this caused in me. To live a life in love.
Not speaking from experience, but rather the accounts of others, marriage is not all a bed of roses, there are ups and downs, times when love is easily given and easily taken, and times when it has to be worked at. Times to let go, and times to fight for it. I think it's the same way with this love story. But to live a life in love. Man. I just keep hearing that ringing. To be in love with someone every moment of your life, because that someone is Perfect, and always does exactly the right thing, at the right time. Someone who really can read your thoughts, and who truly does know you better than you know yourself. To live a life in love. What better a life to be lived than one in love?
I never really understood, I never really got it. But the love of Jesus really IS unconditional, fixed on his own eternally. How lucky am I to be in love with the Creator of the universe. My heart is unavailable to anyone else for their keeping, it belongs only to Jesus. He has won me over, in spite of me. He has won my heart, and romanced my soul, and I can't wait to be in heaven with Him.
