"the ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away." Isaiah 35:10
But if we have not seen and known imperfection, how can we fully appreciate perfection? If we have not experienced evil, how can we fully appreciate good? Because we are exposed to that which is not of God, we are better able to love that which far outshines and surpasses it, namely, all that God is and does. And it also allows us to, in essence, delight in that which is good, and hate what is evil. When I learn truth and goodness, I become extremely desirous of it, as opposed to the lies and evil that I've been swimming in. The problem comes when I do not know God in some way, and I begin believing the lies of the evil one. When God shows me something of himself, then I am able to love that which is of Him, and flee that which is deceitful. So that is the Christian walk, to know more of what the Lord shows and teaches us about himself, so that we may aspire to love him, and to become like Him, and walk as He did.
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18
2 Corinthians 3:18

As the moon reflects the sun's blinding light on the earth, so God's people reflect His blinding glory, a glory so incomprehensible, that it's revelation would kill a man if he looked fully upon it.
