I am so amazed and awed by the intricate cellular processes that occur in so many thousands of different organisms. Absolutely enthralled by the steps by which DNA becomes the means of forming all of the body's proteins, and how that sequence can change the color of our hair or eyes, all of it tightly coiled into a microscopic coil that holds the power to form. The first time I learned how a ribosome works, I went berserk with fascination. Ask anyone around me, that was the moment I fell in love with biological sciences, and became a hopeless biology nerd.
It is happening again. I love how my classes overlap, and feed interdependantly off of each other. I enjoy learning about this not just for a test to pass a class (like I did for physics), but to better understand the complete processes of life. It's like I've gotten all these fragments throughout my lifetime at school, and now they are starting to come together into a more total and comprehensive picture. By no means to do I ever expect to have it all put together...BUT I LOVE TRYING!
